Common Questions

Answers for Parents

Simple answers to the questions parents ask us most often.

Well-child visits should begin from birth. Check-ups are usually recommended at birth, 2 weeks, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, and then every year. These visits help track your child's growth, development and vaccination schedule.
For babies under 3 months, any fever above 38°C needs immediate attention. For older children, fever above 39°C that lasts more than 2–3 days, or comes with a rash, difficulty breathing or seizures, needs urgent medical care. Our 24/7 paediatric emergency is always open.
Watch for: no babbling by 12 months, no single words by 16 months, no two-word phrases by 24 months, limited eye contact, not responding to their name, or loss of previously learned language and skills. Early diagnosis and therapy leads to much better outcomes — don't wait if you are worried.
Growth is measured using standard charts that compare your child's height, weight and head size with other children of the same age and gender. A consistent pattern within normal range is healthy. Our Growth & Nutrition Clinic can do a detailed check and give you personalised guidance.
Yes, our Paediatrics OPD is open Monday to Saturday. Sunday consultations are available for urgent cases. The Paediatric Emergency Unit runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — including public holidays.
